It's easy to think
"I'll do my bit for the environment" and in practice we probably all do something: a bit of recycling, turning the light off, boiling less water in the kettle. Easy. But to really cut your carbon footprint you need to make a little more effort. That's why we've signed up to the 10/10 initiative where by we aim to reduce the carbon footprint of
Petrol by at least 10% in 2010. And I'm sure the irony of a company called Petrol signing up to reduce their carbon footprint isn't lost on you.

As they put in on their website "It’s simple: We all cut our carbon (emissions) by 10% this year. You, me, that bloke walking his dog outside, your work, your kids’ school, the council, the church, the chip shop. Everyone." So why not join us? Even if you don't buy into the greener environment message, economically it make a lot of sense - you reduce your energy use, you save money.
